The CMTA will begin administering an Injured Riders Fund to support riders and their families in the advent of an collision, in late March, early April of 2011.
There will be an application process and a team of riders who volunteer their time to read those applications and see what assistance the CMTA is able to provide based on what is in the fund at the time.
The Injured Rider's Fund will not duplicate services, so if a rider is from BC they will be directed to AIM, if they are from Alberta they will be directed to Southern Alberta FIRRE and if they are from Nova Scotia they will be directed to the Biker Down Society.
Funding for the Injured Rider's Fund comes from corporate and private businesses, individuals and on line and event based fund raising activities.
